That's definitely very appealing, to do things more aligned with our style and needs. Often it feels like a balance between pushing myself enough, and not pushing myself too much. It seems like I can't get the balance right, but maybe that is just another form of perfectionism lol.

I've chalked that up to being a part of the human experience, lol. Finding that balance feels like a lifelong journey because it never stays the same. As we grow and evolve as people, our life situations change, and that status quo balance has to change, too.

You're not alone in that, and that's also why I wanted to create this space, this Sandbox to give us the permission to explore without feeling like you have to get it right.

Your results and how you're feeling are just feedback for what is and isn't working, and we can use those datapoints to make the changes we need to better our work life.

I believe in what's possible for you, Sieran!!

You'll get there Sieran, sometimes when we want things so intently, if we pull back just a little, everything can slip into place on it's own. Go easy on yourself, we all struggle.

That struggle is too real.

And, sometimes we really try too hard.

Everyday new, we have to keep tweaking that balance. Relax and sleep a little more and things seem better in tune with how you want.

Growing, evolving, playing, fun, and exploring. Sounds like a wonderful plan.

So excited to learn with you on this journey, Kat!

I have reshaped my Work OS several times throughout my career as my role changed, as the stage of company changed, and as my life changed.

It's always a work in progress for me but I agree -- when your Work OS doesn't align with your values and needs, you have bought yourself a one-way ticket to burnout.

Looking forward to mucking it up with you in the Work OS Sandbox you are creating!

Yess! Thanks so much, and so glad to have you on this journey and in the Sandbox with me, Kathy!

So smart that you've taken the time to adjust your Work OS as life and work situations change. I find that so important, as we're constantly growing and evolving as people, how we do things has to evolve with us as well.

Let's do this!! That work in progress mode is happening anyways, so why not have some fun playing and exploring what's possible, too!

I grew up in Newcastle, NSW, near the most beautiful beaches, and I was playing in the said from age 2 to 18.

I'd love to get I the sandbox too.

Eh? Mind rephrasing that for me, Therese? Maybe there was a typo in there somewhere?

I said the opposite of what I meant.

Should have been:

A lesser work week, with a 3 day weekend, means more productivity, and more time off to do the real work of living and thriving, resetting, and celebrating meaningful relationships.

It all cicles back on being more well rested and less stressed, to be there at work, doing more when you're on the clock.

Increased concentration, better communicating with colleagues, feeling better about what you do, doing more of it, then achieving more again, at work and home.

A good first plunge into the BETTER WORKLIFE BALANCE BALL PIT is maybe, picking up an old hobby, or going to bed half an hour earlier.

Everything helps, if you have that initial awareness, and dumb down the stress factors that keep you tense.
