Cutting down goals to 90 days instead of a year, once a year, at New Year is a great idea. It's a doable chunk of time to achieve something and make progress, but also not too overwhelming. And it's a way to keep on track and make sure we don't waste that precious commodity, time.
This is such a great, and inspiring post. This all seems very doable for you and I'm excited to see your progress. These goals feel very compounding, so it feels like you'll be seeing the improvement as the 90 days pass. You got this!
Thanks for the encouragement, Jody! For sure, I'm been making good progress, and looking forward to all the efforts compounding into a solid foundation. Thanks for your help, too.
Awww Kat, it was like you speaking directly to my heart and soul! I like your approach on the 90-day goals and visualizing the lifestyle after achieving them! I did the exercise, and saw myself as a more mindful hands-on parent, who makes a living with lovely people who makes “work” feels like it’s not work. Go giver! :)
Awwwww, I'm so glad that exercise helped you with this wonderful vision. I love it, Mae!! Cheering you on! 😄🎉
Have you read the Go Giver, too? Isn't it amazing? After I read one, I read the rest of the series soon after. What's something you're applying from the books?
The mystery thriller is such a great analogy! So true... like "Omg, of course! Now I get it!!"
Writing wise: I love how they're teaching us philosophies and ways of being through storytelling.
Concept wise: Solidifies the approach of genuinely giving value to help, paired with surrender and trust, builds good karma that'll come back in ways you might not have even considered. I felt like I had to curb that after repeatedly being taken advantage of or listening to other gurus teach that I should stop being so generous and paywall my value. Over time, I've learned to have operate from a state that feels good to me, have better discernment, and set better boundaries, too.
Now talking about this book again, I think it's time for another read through!

Thanks so much, Wendy! Glad you enjoyed this, and you make some good points yourself. Once again, thanks for the restack!

Sounds like a great plan.

Glad to see you focused on this space again with so much vigour Kat.
I love the go giver - great book and parable for life
Thanks, Sabrina~ Being here and the supportive environment have really helped me heal and move through the burnout and not-so-fun experiences.
So glad you've read the Go Giver, too! Which was your favorite part?
So true - connection with others feeling the same helps us feel less alone.
I loved the realisation at the end when all the lessons came together.
It was so satisfying to reflect back and join the dots.
Like a good mystery thriller - you get that ‘ooohhh, I see the connections now!’
What about you?
